Aside from some thoughts I have about rearranging the look and feel of the site, I have some nifty promo ideas. I'm posting here because I know staff reads blogs and if any readers bother to read our blogs their opinion would be good too.
1. T-shirt idea contest- basically we put out a call to anyone who reads the site for things to put on t-shirts. Nothing currently copyrighted or already being mass produced. The prize? A t-shirt with you saying on it, plus credit for the idea. The trick is we get to continue to make the shirt and sell it either via our own web store or one of the many creative/webstore sites. Which leads me to...
2. Web store - we need to consider this as a viable option eventually... we could even use this to help promote other people's movies. I'm referring to the up and coming filmmakers like the one's we met at ICFLM. We could get in touch with them and work something out... like a cut or some crap. Who knows...
3. A piece a week from everyone... it doesn't matter if it's new or old review. Let's fill up the classic movie review section and so on. It's not tough to grab a movie off the shelf, watch it again and write a little piece about it. Same thing applies to video games and graphic novels. We have people reading... let's give em something more to read.
That is all.

Yeah...
I'm digging on these ideas, especially I've mentioned at least two of them before. A piece a week isn't too hard, I suppose. Especially since I have enough to do a weekly until halfway through 2010. I dig all three ideas, and vote for a shirt that says "Big City Headbutt!!" on it. Shit, I'd even pay money for it...

T-shirts, I think is an awsome idea, some additional information would be kool. Such as limits on text and images (size/color and such things) and also areas of interest.
Also maybe a small area for user interaction to the site could be kool. You guys can't know everything going on everywhere. A small BBC put into the center frame or something along those lines.
Piece a week, I like it.
Slightly more added to the profile... its a 50/50 thing... Although it may not be even looked at right now, the bigger the site gets in both size and popularity - profiles will become a bigger part in keeping everything/one connected.
thoughts for the moment
