The Oscars are done and gone, and thus begins the season of big-budget one-offs from the major studios. The first is a fantastical hero epic, 10,000 B.C. from Roland Emmerich (Stargate, Godzilla, Independence Day). As a director, Emmerich has been almost as successful as Michael Bay at bringing us beautiful action/adventure blockbusters. That is exactly what this film is, so expect little more.
